Redefining Our Identity: Designing a Logo that Reflects Our Values and Community

A logo is more than just a symbol. It tells a story about who we are, where we belong, and what we stand for. For a long time, our company’s logo was a simple water drop. While visually clean, it lacked connection to the place we call home and the values we hold dear. That changed when we decided to involve both Residents and Staff in reimagining our logo to better represent our identity.


Listening to Our Community


The first step in redesigning our logo was to gather input from those who know us best: the people who live and work here. We held several consultation sessions where Residents and Staff shared their thoughts on what the logo should convey. Many expressed a desire for a symbol that reflects the warmth, safety, and sense of belonging that define our community.


This collaborative approach helped us understand that the logo needed to be more than a shape or colour. It had to capture the spirit of our home — a place where people feel supported and connected. By listening closely, we learned which elements mattered most:



  • Values: Symbols that represent care, respect, and community.

  • Simplicity: A clean, recognisable image that everyone can relate to.


Translating Values into Design


With clear guidance from our consultations, the design team "the staff and manager" began exploring ideas that would bring these concepts to life. Instead of a generic water drop, they looked for imagery that ties directly to our location and the feelings we want to inspire.




The design process involved several rounds of feedback, ensuring the logo resonated with both Residents and Staff. This iterative approach helped refine the concept until it felt authentic and meaningful.

A logo that truly reflects our values and community does more than decorate letterheads or signs. It strengthens our identity and builds pride among everyone involved.
